Turn "what now?"
into "what's next?"

Growth, reorgs, new roles, and shifting expectations can slow down even capable leaders and teams.

I help leaders, teams, and business owners make sense of what’s changed, work through the people stuff that comes with it, and get moving again.

THE PROBLEM

The change happened.
Your team is still figuring out what it means.

The announcement has gone out, the org chart has been updated, and everyone is doing their best to move forward. The day-to-day work can still feel off.

Decisions that used to be straightforward start taking longer. Your people are less certain about who owns what, so they pause, check, and schedule another meeting just to be safe. Your leaders find themselves repeating the same messages and wondering why their team still seems hesitant.

Most of the time, people are trying to understand what's expected of them now, where they fit, and how the work is supposed to happen from here.

Nobody wants to get it wrong. So people watch, wait, and make their best guess while they're figuring it out.

MEET KELLY Schmidt

I've experienced change from just about every seat.

I spent more than 20 years working inside complex organizations, including leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson. I've helped introduce major changes, led teams through what came afterward, and supported leaders when the new org chart looked much clearer than the day-to-day reality felt.

I know the plan is only part of the work, change doesn't follow a tidy sequence, and no amount of polished bullet points on a slide is going to solve everything.

I help leaders and teams make sense of what's actually getting in the way, talk about the things everyone's working around, and decide what will help them move forward.

How we'll work together

We'll start with what's actually happening, including the parts that feel messy, unclear, or harder than they probably should.

From there, we'll figure out what needs attention now, what can wait, and what will help people move forward without creating a plan no one can realistically sustain.

01

Name what's changed

We'll look at what shifted, what feels different now, and where things are getting stuck.

02

Find the friction

That might be unclear ownership, slower decisions, strained communication, clunky handoffs, or leaders trying to hold too many pieces together.

03

Design the path forward

That might be coaching, a team session, a workshop, an offsite, or some mix of those.

Where's the friction showing up?

across a team or organization

For HR, L&D, transformation, and business leaders supporting people through growth, reorgs, shifting priorities, or post-change slowdown.

Inside Your Small Business

For owners whose team, roles, expectations, or leadership habits haven’t kept pace with the growth of the business.

In Your Own Leadership

For leaders stepping into something bigger, working through a hard situation, or trying to figure out what comes next.

In a “what now?” moment?

Whether the change just happened, the team still hasn’t settled, or you’re trying to figure out the next right step, we can start there.
